Once Upon A Time In My Twenties…

Her Etchings

I know you would love to hear general stories to cover the entire decade, but it’s not that simple. I’ve come to realize my twenties brought many challenges and experiences (both positive and negative). The seeds I planted as a teenager had bloomed into a full garden of joy, sorrow and potential. However, I would discover years later there were weeds that I had ignored that ended up becoming destructive. Sadly, when I look back I realize my first few steps into my twenties required more equipment aside from telling myself “It was going to be better”. At this point in time at 29 years old with 30 expecting my arrival shortly, I’ve been feeling rather reflective of my past. I truly am surprised at how fast I’ve gone through ten years, but also surprised at how different I am from when I stood at the start line. After doing a quick summary of my early, mid and late twenties on my previous post below,

I want to dive a bit deeper and share my story. From what I would’ve told my 19 year old self, to my experience losing my virginity in my twenties, healing from past trauma, my career as a professional service industry worker and my social circle which has since drastically decreased. I am calling the series: “Once Upon A Time in My Twenties”.

You see as much as I am doing this to help myself close this chapter of my life, I hope to inspire you to have a new perspective on yours whether you like me are crossing the finish line or getting ready to approach the start line. I think it is worth opening up my old journals and sharing my journey.
